ADL Annual Theological Symposia

Click here for a listing of the ADL Annual Conferences

The decision to sponsor Theological Symposia was made at the Kansas City conference in 1977.

The purpose of each Symposium is to study an area of interest to Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Persons who have expertise in the field of the topic being studied and who can provide scriptural, theological, historical or pastoral reflection are invited to the symposia as presenters. Each presenter submits a paper on a designated aspect of the topic being studied.

At the Symposium, presenters are given an opportunity to make brief comments related to their papers. All present then have the opportunity to respond to the papers and to interact with one another. Reflections from the Symposium are shared with all other liaisons in the newsletter and are further discussed at the Annual Conference.

(Beginning in 2003, the Theological Symposia were combined with the annual conference.)
