1. THE ASSOCIATION Back to Top
Purpose
The primary purpose of this Association is to help the Diocesan Liaison be an effective instrument for Charismatic Renewal in his/her diocese.
Membership
The Association is made up of Diocesan Liaisons who choose to be members. A Liaison is anyone appointed by his/her Bishop as his representative to the Diocesan Charismatic Renewal. A diocese may also have "Associate Liaisons" as appointed by the Bishop or Liaison. For the purpose of this Association, Associate Liaisons are treated the same as Liaisons.
2. AUTHORITY Back to Top
The authority of this Association rests with the Body of Liaisons, that is, the full membership. This Body determines its policies and decisions at its Annual Meeting. This Body also elects the members of the Steering Committee.
3. THE STEERING COMMITTEE Back to Top
The Steering Committee consists of six Liaisons who serve a term of three years each, two elected each year, and can be re-elected for another consecutive term. The Steering Committee annually selects its own Chairperson, who will make a report at the Annual Conference.
The Steering Committee has the responsibility to:
1. Prepare for and oversee the Annual Conference;
2. Prepare for and oversee the Annual Theological Symposium;
3. Communicate with the Liaisons through the Newsletter and provide each Liaison with an annual Mailing List.
4. Make decisions as needed between Annual Conferences.
5. Maintain communication and network with other existing Charismatic Renewal Ministries as appropriate.
4. NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF STEERING COMMITTEE Back to Top
Nomination
1. Each Liaison is eligible for nomination.
2. Each Liaison may submit in writing to the Election Chairperson before the Conference the names of three Liaisons.
3. The Election Chairperson prepares a slate of at least six Liaisons who receive the highest number of nominations and who consent to serve.
Election
1. The election shall be conducted by the Steering Committee at the Annual Business Meeting.
2. Each diocese may cast one vote for two of the nominees.
3. The two candidates who receive a simple majority of the votes cast are elected.

On matters on which there is a vote:
1. Each diocese may cast one vote;
2. The decision is made by a simple majority of the votes cast.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is appointed annually by the Steering Committee. His/her duty is to handle finances and to give an annual report.
Secretary
The Secretary is appointed annually by the Steering Committee. His/her duty is to keep adequate minutes of every Annual Conference, especially in matters voted upon at the Business Meeting.
Election Chairperson
The Election Chairperson is appointed annually, and the election is conducted as in Section 4.
7. COMMITTEES Back to Top
Committees can be established by the voting majority of the Body of Liaisons at any time of the Annual Conferences or by the Chairperson of the Steering Committee in consultation with and with the approval of the Steering Committee.
These committees must give a report of their activities at the Annual Conference.
Membership on these committees is selected by the Steering Committee from those who show a willingness to serve.
AMENDMENTS Back to Top
Amendments to the Constitution can be made by two-thirds vote at the Annual Business Meeting.
